As AirportLabs turned 10, I’ve been thinking this morning about the moments that have truly defined us.
Of course, Covid springs to mind. It was a defining moment for the world, but for us, it highlighted the importance of true partnership and long term value.
Seeing our airport customers facing immense financial strain, we asked ourselves, “How can we genuinely help?” The answer felt clear: we delayed all invoices, essentially providing a 100% discount for that year. It was not a difficult decision. We believe in long-term growth and strong relationships, and one year is nothing in the context of those values.
We hoped this gave our partners vital breathing space and perhaps even helped protect jobs.
And while things were quieter, we didn’t stand still. We poured our energy into architecture and development, launching the AODB that would become the most scalable and widely used in the world – born out of a challenging time.
That period taught us so much about resilience and the power of standing together. As we celebrate 10 years, I’m most proud of these moments where we acted with our values at heart. Here’s to the next decade of innovation, partnership, and always putting people first.
